Students in Mrs. Johnson's math class are working in groups to solve angle measures in triangles! Working on the vertical boards makes their learning visible and allows students to help each other gain proficiency in mathematical thinking.
Please welcome Kathryn Miller to Greenwood! Mrs. Miller is our District Administrative Secretary. She hails from Stratford, earned her Associates of Arts and Sciences through UW Marshfield/Wood County, and has 8 years of experience as a school administrative assistant!
Students in Educators Rising attended TEACH Day at UW-Stout. This event gives students an opportunity to explore teaching as a career by learning from teacher education students there. They also took a college campus tour!
The High School Fall Sports Awards Night will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 7:00pm in the GHS Cafetorium. All high school fall sport participants should be in attendance.

The Elementary School is looking for two basketball coaches. The season consists of practices twice a week from 6-7:30pm and Saturday games starting in December. Practices start the week of November 7.

Students attended the Wisconsin Educational Fair! They were able to meet with colleges, universities, military branches, and specialty schools to think further about their plans after high school!

The Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association presented Greenwood students with new tools from the Tools for Schools grant! Students learned about construction careers in our area. The association aims to provide opportunities for those interested in careers in the skilled trades. Thank you to the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association and Ashley Construction for your continued support!
GES is implementing a buddy system this year between our oldest and our youngest learners! Fifth and sixth grade students help the 4K and Kindergarten classes with their lunches, outside at recess, and are reading buddies. The pairings are very fun to see!

A summer opportunity for football conditioning starts Wednesday, June 21!
This year's International Festival was a delight! Students who take Spanish, are in Spanish Club, or are 7th graders created displays about countries around the world. Many displays included interactive pieces such as food tasting, games, or even dancing an Irish jig!
