Location
The School District of Greenwood is located in West Central Wisconsin in Clark County. It is organized as a common school district and includes portions of the towns of Beaver, Eaton, Hendren, Longwood, Loyal, Mead, Reseburg, Seif, and Warner, as well as the city of Greenwood; all of which are in Clark County. It covers 150.21 square miles, with a population of 3,377 people, based on 2010 census data.
Demographics
The School District of Greenwood serves approximately 380 students. It is comprised of a white (91.8%), Hispanic (4.6%), Black (1%), American Indian (0.8%), and other (1.8%) student population. Fifty-two percent of our district's students qualify for free and reduced lunch and about 12% qualify as students with disabilities.
Highly Qualified Staff
The School District of Greenwood employs over 60 full and part time individuals. All certified staff in the district are highly qualified educators. In Wisconsin, "Highly Qualified" means that in core curricular areas, the teacher meets all of the requirements of state licensing and preparation laws.
